ZIGO sign-What is electroplating process?

Electroplating is the process of using the principle of electrolysis to deposit a thin layer of other metals or alloys on certain metal surfaces. It is a process that uses electrolysis to attach a metal film to the surface of metal or other material components, thereby preventing metal oxidation (such as rust), improving wear resistance, conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance (such as copper sulfate), and enhancing aesthetics.

Types of electroplating:

(1) Copper plating: used as a base to enhance the adhesion and corrosion resistance of the electroplating layer.

(2) Nickel plating: used as a base or for appearance, to enhance corrosion resistance and wear resistance (among which chemical nickel has a higher wear resistance than chrome plating in modern technology).

(3) Gold plating: improves conductive contact impedance and enhances signal transmission. (Gold is the most stable and expensive.)

(4) Plating palladium nickel: improves conductive contact impedance, enhances signal transmission, and has higher wear resistance than gold.

(5) Tin plated lead: enhances soldering ability.

(6) Silver plating: improves conductive contact impedance and enhances signal transmission. (Silver has the best performance, is easy to oxidize, and conducts electricity after oxidation)

(7) The main function of electroplating in advertising logo production is to achieve special effects or colors (luster) on the surface of the product, such as electroplating rose gold and copper. Electroplating is a method of laying a layer of metal on a conductive body using the principle of electrolysis.
