The successful implementation of the signage design project for the Fisherman's Wharf in Qinglan Peninsula not only adds a bright landscape to the Fisherman's Wharf, but also fully demonstrates ZIGO's professional strength in the field of wayfindingsystemdesign.

Project Background and Challenges

The Fisherman's Wharf at Qinglan Peninsula is a comprehensive place integrating leisure, tourism and commerce. Its unique geographic location and multi-functional use make the wayfindingsignagedesign face many challenges. First of all, the vast area of the pier, the complex building layout, the mobility of tourists, especially in the peak season, to ensure that tourists can quickly find the desired location is particularly important. In addition, the special environment of the seaside, sand and humidity also put forward higher requirements for the selection and installation of signage materials.

Design Difficulties and Solutions

Satisfying diversified needsSince Fisherman's Wharf contains a variety of functional areas, such as shopping, dining, leisure and boat docking areas, the wayfinding system must satisfy the needs of different tourists.ZIGO designed a multi-level and multi-functional wayfinding system through detailed analysis of the needs and division of the areas to ensure that each area has a clear signage guide.

During the wayfindingsystemdesign process, ZIGO paid special attention to the readability and recognizability of the signs. The signage adopts simple and clear icons and text, and uses high-contrast color combinations to ensure that visitors can clearly identify the signage under different lighting conditions. As Fisherman's Wharf is close to the sea, Supreme Guide favors high quality materials that are corrosion-proof, waterproof, and UV-resistant in its material selection. Strict quality control and testing ensure that the signage can be used for a long time in the harsh seaside environment.

Installation and Design Considerations

The installation locations of the signs are precisely measured and planned to ensure that there are clear guide signs at key points where visitors need guidance (e.g. entrances, forks in the road, in front of important buildings, etc.). The installation team worked closely with the project management to ensure that each sign could maximize its guiding function. Considering the special environment of Fisherman's Wharf, the installation team paid special attention to the stability and safety of the signs. All signs were mounted in a sturdy way to ensure that they would not fall off or be damaged in strong winds and bad weather.

SCHEME DESIGN DRAWING

During the design process, Supreme Signage focused on the coordination of the signs with the overall style of Fisherman's Wharf. The signs should not only be practical but also aesthetically pleasing, blending with the surrounding environment and architectural style to enhance the overall visual effect.
