ZIGO successfully completed the signage design project for the underground parking lot of Southern University of Science and Technology. This project fully demonstrates our professional ability and innovative thinking in wayfindingsystemfactory, wayfindingsignagedesign and wayfindingsystemdesign. In this article, we will introduce in detail the difficulties of the underground parking lot, the considerations for installation and design, and the project design. Difficulty of Underground Parking Lot

The underground parking lot of Southern University of Science and Technology  brings many challenges to signage design due to its large scale and complex structure. First of all, the multi-story structure of the parking lot makes it easy for vehicles and pedestrians to get lost, especially during peak hours, when the mobility of vehicles is high, increasing the difficulty of the design of the guidance system. Secondly, the parking lot has low light and the visibility and clarity of the signs need to be considered. In addition, the variety of entrances and passages on different floors increases the complexity and diversity of signage design.

DEEPENING THE DESIGN PLAN

Installation and Design Considerations

During wayfindingsignagedesign, we paid special attention to the following aspects:

Visibility and clarity

Due to the lack of light in the underground parking lot, we chose high brightness LED light signage and used high contrast color matching to ensure the visibility and clarity of the signage under different lighting conditions.

 Consistency and Continuity

To ensure that vehicles and pedestrians can find the target location smoothly during the process, we emphasized the continuity and consistency of the signs when designing the wayfindingsystemdesign. A uniform design language and style was adopted for all signs to ensure consistency in message delivery.

Material Selection

Considering the humid environment of the underground parking lot, we chose waterproof and moisture-proof materials for the signs to ensure their durability and long-term reliability.

Project Design

In this project design, we followed the following steps:

 Demand Analysis

We had a detailed communication with the relevant person in charge of the Southern University of Science and Technology to understand their specific needs and expectations for the underground parking lot guidance system. Based on these needs, we developed a detailed design program.

Preliminary Design

Based on the requirement analysis, we carried out the preliminary design. We produced a variety of design sketches and had several communications and confirmations with the university to ensure the feasibility and practicability of the design scheme.

Refinement Design

After the preliminary design was confirmed, we refined the design, including the specific size, color, font and other details of the sign. At the same time, we also considered the practicality of the installation of the sign to ensure that it would run smoothly during the installation process.

Installation and Testing

After the design scheme was confirmed, we carried out the production and installation of the signs. During the installation process, we strictly followed the design plan, and at the same time conducted several tests to ensure the visibility and guiding effect of the signs.

ACTUAL EFFECT DIAGRAM

Through these steps, we successfully completed the signage design project for the underground parking lot of Southern University of Science and Technology. This project not only enhances the experience of using the parking lot, but also shows our professional ability in wayfindingsystemfactory, wayfindingsignagedesign and wayfindingsystemdesign.

Overall, the successful completion of the underground parking lot signage design project for Southern University of Science and Technology could not have been achieved without the professional team and innovative design of Supreme Signage. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to providing high quality design solutions for the wayfinding system to meet the diversified needs of our customers.
